Meeting Times: To Be Determined
Join the Society Ever argue with your boyfriend/girlfriend, parents, professors, local politicians, or friends? Ever feel like you can’t think of that blistering argument or zinger in time? Want to learn how to reduce interlockers to tears of intellectual embarrassment with a simple wave of the tongue? Then Carleton University Debate and Speech (CUDS) is for you!

CUDS is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering public speaking and analytical skills. CUDS has a strong history of competitive success. (We routinely beat teams from schools you’ve never heard of, like Oxford, Cambridge, and Harvard.) Anyone can join, regardless of year, program, or past experience. This year, Carleton will also host the Central Canadian Championships. For more information about CUDS – whether you want to participate in competitive debate, improve your public speaking, find some new people to argue with, travel, or pad your resume for your law school application, email us at exec@carletondebate.org. Or just show up to one of our meetings, held twice a week during the school year.

Come back and check our website regularly for meeting locations and times and for other important updates. Additionally you could sign up for our mailing list; just email us, and you'll receive updates on events and opportunities.

Hope to see you at a meeting soon!
